Eligibilty Qualifying Examination

A Candidate seeking admission to first Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course

The candidate shall have passed PUC Subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individual and must have obtain a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) taken together in the qualifying examination.

In case of candidates from the steam of Vocational Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala the candidate shall have taken a minimum of 5 (Five) subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in Addition to the Vocational Subject (vide RGUHS Notification No. RGUHS/SEF/EC. B.Sc. Nsg/191/2005-06 dated 18.05.2006), and shall have passed the said examination in all the subjects individually and shall have obtained a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination.

Age : The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission. Candidate shall be medically fit.

Selection : Selection of the candidate should be based on the merit in the entrance examination held by university or competent authority.

Duration of the Course : Duration of the course shall be four completed years including clinical training of 24 weeks.

Medium of Instruction : English shall be the medium of for th course as well as for the examination.

The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of
Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course). OR
Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre degree Examination (10+2) OR

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board r university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Important Instructions

1. Student should have completed not less than 11 months of the course and his/her total performance has been satisfactory during the period.

2. He/She should have attend 80% of instructions given on each subject (Theory). 80% of the field experience separately during the year.

3. His/Her practical experience should be upto date.

4. He/She should have passed in the internal examination prior to the state board exam.

5. The minimum marks required for passing is 50%.

6. He/She should have completed all the assignments.

Students Sisters

Use of electronic stoves, immersion heaters, kerosene stoves, tape records, T.V. is strictly prohibited in the leaving rooms.

All students should be present in person at 7.00 p.m. for the roll call.

The welfare and well being of the students will be the sole responsibility of the Vice-Principle.

All the general rules concerning selection. Course of training and leave will apply to sisters also. In addition the following rules are also applicable.

Permission to visit relatives and friends to attend parties, wedding and cinema etc., should be obtained rom the superiors. Students are expected to make their retreat during their annual leaves. No other leave will be granted for this purpose.

They are expected to participate in all the extra curricular activities of the College.
